I know this picture!! Its of a middle eastern girl that was going against cultural opinions by having her photo taken. The intensity in her eyes is the most striking feature, the blue-green is really defined and alluring. The red in her head scarf is a natural contrast to the green wood in the background making us focus on her face because it is naturally framed.  You can see that she is slightly scared because of what she is doing and yet strong because she's doing it anyway. The soft light on her face doesn't distract from the picture because it doesn't create any harsh shadows. you can see that the head scarf/shawl is torn revealing the cloth underneath giving us the impression that she has a hard life. Thanks to the soft light you can also see the beginnings of age on the girl even though she is young. I like this picture and the one that was taken of her years later.
